We have the freedom to choose what we shall become by our degree of cooperation with God's plan for the reintegration of the human soul; developing the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, imparted through Baptism, from intermittent to habitual functioning.

| God is Love, sin is disordered love (facilitated by inordinate appetites and addictions which confuse our "wants" with our "needs") . Whatever is not necessary for our existence that we cannot or will not give up inhibits our freedom to love and separates us from God; e. g., an alcoholic or drug addict is impaired in their human interpersonal relationships because of their addiction. |

OUR ADDICTIONS, TO DIFFERENT THINGS AND IN DIFFERING DEGREES: PHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, AND SPIRITUAL.
