The human person, created in the image and likeness of God, has
a material body and a spiritual soul.
The faculties of the soul are:
Intellect –
the ability to reason and understand.
Memory –
consciousness or awareness that includes but is more than just the ability to
recall the past.
Will – the
ability to desire and to choose.
